Hello,

My name is James Freeman and I am a board game addict. I started in the hobby in 2013 and since then I have owned over 1,500 games (and sold or traded most of them). Like most people in the hobby, I have gone through phases. First I just grabbed any game I could, then I move to be more selective.... and then not selective... and then to the top 100... and now to solo games.

I have worked in the hobby for several companies as a blogger, in social media, and even as a publicist, but where I started and where I come back to now is reviewing. When my son was young I use to do a blog called "dad mostly loses" where my very young son would crush me on a regular basis. It was what started my love of board games.

This blog will be about me exploring the world of solo games. I am going to be looking for specific solo experiences. I don't plan on doing games that have a "solo mode", but rather exclusively solo games. I also always loved doing interviews so I hope to interview some of the designers in the solo community. I aiming for bi-weekly content to start but if I have more I will put up more. Content will go up on Mondays (like today) as it is my day off. Thanks for reading.
